Are you afraid of ghosts? How about clowns? Well, what about a ghost of a clown? Joseph Grimaldi (1778-1837) is considered the father of today's circus clowns, and his apparition is said to watch performers from the boxes in the Theatre Royal and Sadler's Wells Theatres. This artwork was produced for the author James Clarke and appears in his excellent book 'Haunted London'. You can check out his website here:- www.james-clark.co.uk

Orang Pendek - the mystery primate of Sumatra
This was my first attempt at painting the Orang Pendek, Indonesian for "short person". Potentially a primate unknown to science, reportedly inhabiting remote mountainous regions of the island of Sumatra. There is good evidence for the creature's existence, particularly the number of sightings by both westerners (including scientists) and the indigenous population. I feel that there's a good chance that it exists. The illustration has definitely become one of my most published works (appearing in 6 publications to date). Of particular note are it's use in the Fortean Times, and also it's appearance in 'Deep Jungle' the book produced to accompany the major British ITV television programme of the same name.
